I love this little place at the top of York St.  The service is always quick, even when they are busy and the food is really good.  I've had several different dishes here and they are always very tasty.

Goshu Ramen Tei is one of two Japanese restaurants in this block. It is closer to the circular Kai end with more seating outside than in. The Bento comes with Miso soup, agedashi tofu and rice, but you have the opportunity to swap the Miso soup for Edamame and the rice for salad. I had the fish Teriyaki and decided for more salad instead of the rice. The soft fish was slightly fried and coated in a balanced teriyaki sauce. The Tantanms, a collagen-rich pork aromatized with sesampasting, was also well received, as well as the Wagyu Beef Bento. Nothing fantastic or innovative, but only simple, delicious Japanese food at reasonable prices.
